More than autumn leaves

“How did it get so late so soon? Its night before its afternoon. December is here before its June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?”

    –Dr. Seuss

It’s already mid way into September. Soon enough we’ll be basking our noses into scents of pumpkin spice and peppermint while indulging sweet treats of candy corn (if you’re into that) and hot chocolate. Let’s be honest, everyday I need to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings and the delightfully scented sugar-filled months can’t come sooner.

But maybe I should slow it down a bit. Dr. Seuss seems to agree with me. Time has been set at fast pace and the wonder of nature is about to encompass the trees, making their leaves become an ultimate peaceful sight. Even before the green fields become coated with snow, and these beautiful leaves fall to the ground where each step we take echoes a crunch, isn’t there one element that becomes rather subdued?

Perhaps…

…blossomed flowers?

This floral printed blazer is definitely a statement piece. The colors are vividly seeking attention with every detailed print. So, I paired a simple white chiffon tank underneath the blazer. A dark washed capri was worn to keep a casual vibe, and the overall outfit was finished with black platform sandals to give me some height. Keeping a classy and bold concept from head to toe, but not losing the comfortableness of the clothing was the essential idea for this look. Sometimes, for many of us, we battle the ideas of “Do I dress up today?…But I’m too lazy and want to be comfy. Forget it; I’m wearing jeans and a tee.” Yes, we have those days and that’s perfectly okay. However, let’s not lose our passion for style and outwardly display an inner sense of art.

Sometimes I focus too much on what’s ahead that I forget to appreciate the minimal things. Hand in hand, summer will take flowers with him till he tags his dear friend, spring, when flowers reappear. Till then and always, appreciate all things for there are many blessings in disguise.
