August: Boho Time

Folks it’s August and there’s still plenty of time to clothe yourself with summer boho fabric. Personally, I’ve always adored bohemian inspired styles because there are such vibrant colors and emphasized details on each stitching or fringe.

Boho chic is a commonly coined fashion term, but the looks themselves are very versatile and unique. This coral A-line dress is thoughtfully stitched with white, yellow, orange, and purple threading that create elegant floral patterns. There are portions of crocheted lace outlining around the neckline, rib cage, hipline, bell-rounded sleeves, and bottom layer of the dress. Even the minimal pleating above the chest highlights a subtle, yet beautiful detail.

Yesterday, the sun was shying away behind the clouds, but the vivid tomato color of this dress climbed its way for attention and made a great substitute for the lack of brightness. Because it was a bit on the “chillier” side for summer (about 70 degrees, I know still warm…) I decided to pair the dress with suede tan espadrille boots. Sometimes pairing a feminine minidress with comfy shoes, like flat boots or bold statement sneakers, create a chic look with a hint of “no effort”. Who doesn’t love appearing elegantly assembled without spending almost an hour getting ready?

If you haven’t noticed from my previous posts, I have been obsessing over A-line dresses. This dress is similar to my “little black dress” and I absolutely love them. They’re gentle, breezy, and lightweight. Even when I’m in a rush I can throw it over my head and the look works for almost any occasion- brunching with friends, exploring the city, running errands, etc!

Hope you all had a wonderful Sunday and are pushing through this Monday morning with a

  “…but first, coffee.”

I know I am.

Cheers,

Inha
